Northern Coast

Prince Rupert and Langara Island are British Columbia's northern hot spots bordering the Alaska panhandle and home to the famous Skeena and Nass River runs of Chinook (King) salmon. These impressive salmon are world famous and reach weights upwards of 90 lbs. The Coho salmon runs are strong, large and abundant. The peak time is mid May through July. The wildlife is abundant and the scenery ranges from glacier capped fiords and passages to the sandy beaches and rocky shores of the outer islands. Langara Island rests at the Northwest tip of the Queen Charlotte islands and is a rugged remote location. Prince Rupert is a picturesque small city and guests may arrive via air from Vancouver, ferry from Port Hardy on Northern Vancouver Island or via train through the magnificent Rocky and Coastal mountains.
