Heritage Tugboat Luxury Small Ship Cruises
Adventure cruise the waters from Vancouver to British Columbia's most northern seaport, Prince Rupert. This magnificent piece of the "Inside Passage" of B.C. is cut with picturesque channels and fiords, bordered by snow capped mountains, glaciers and evergreen forests that seem to grow right out of the water.
Wildlife is in abundance as we cruise close to the shoreline bringing you and your camera close enough to feel the experience. Whales and porpoises play in the bow waves as we gaze at waterfalls and dine on the best cuisine. The picturesque anchorages provide a serenity that is only improved by sightings of bears and the sounds of wild wolf packs howling at the starry night. Some guests have been lucky enough to spot the elusive "Spirit Bear" on our trips that take us through the waters of the Great Bear Rainforest.
Each day is a complete adventure - activities include wilderness hikes through coastal forests to peaceful lakes, clam digging, setting crab traps, beachcombing, exploring coastal streams and rivers via shore and skiffs. You can visit abandoned canneries, museums, totem sights and communities. The evening anchorages and West Coast sunsets will be more memorable than you could imagine, cruising the northern "Inside Passage" on board a heritage west coast tugboat with only 12 guests is an adventure you will cherish forever.
Our meticulously restored heritage tugboat has been exclusively designed for comfortable accommodation and intimate cruising on the calm, scenic waters of the Inside Passage. Westwind guests are pampered daily by a dedicated and friendly crew with tantalizing meals, fine wines all the creature comforts including, wood burning stove, terry cloth bath robes, state of the art catamaran skiffs, and all outdoor clothing.
